Bhavan’s PALSAR Observes World Environment Day 2026, Reaffirming Its Commitment to a Sustainable Future Reported on: 05/06/2026 Bhavan's N.A. Palkhivala Academy for Advanced Legal Studies and Research (PALSAR), Kozhikode, proudly observed World Environment Day 2026 under the global theme "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future." The programme aimed to foster environmental consciousness among students and encourage collective action towards building a sustainable future. Through various initiatives and academic engagements, the celebration reinforced the institution's commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible citizenship The highlight of the celebration was the distinguished lecture delivered by Prof. (Dr) C.C. Harilal, Director of Research Directorate, Course Coordinator and Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Calicut. Through his insightful address, Dr. Harilal emphasized the significance of sustainable practices, environmental stewardship, and the role of youth in shaping a greener future. The event was enriched by the presence and felicitations of our Principal, Prof. RK Biju, followed by Dr. Surekha Somabalan, Head of the Department of Law, Dr. S. Geetha, Head of the Department of Management, and Mr. E.M. Unnikrishnan, Assistant Professor (Law) and Teacher Coordinator of the Green Club. The observance also marked the reconstitution of the PALSAR Green Club 2026, reaffirming the institution's dedication to promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices within the campus community. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all students, faculty members, and organizers who contributed to the success of the event. The occasion was a proud tribute to the remarkable achievements of students who have distinguished themselves in academics and the arts, bringing honour and recognition to the institution through their outstanding performances. The ceremony was inaugurated by our esteemed chief guest, Prof. Vidyuth K. S., Principal of Government Law College, Kozhikode. Following this, the ceremony welcomed our felicitation guest, Mr. Sanjay Ammothil, the renowned singer and live performer widely recognized for his significant contributions to folk music. The event was graced by the presence of our beloved Principal, Prof. R. K. Biju, along with the Heads of Departments, Dr. Surekha Somabalan and Dr. S. Geetha. We were also privileged to welcome our special guests, Adv. Ramesh Sir and Akhil Sir, whose unwavering guidance and support have played a vital role in helping our students attain outstanding accomplishments at the Calicut University B-Zone and Interzone Kalolsavam competitions.
